Wow – Science week was explosive in SHNS – Huge thanks to Ms Kehoe and Mr Molloy for coordinated all the fun activities and experiments…….
From Slime to Lava Lamps in the Junior End, to learning about Electricity in the Senior End, the children had an blast, all while learning how to be scientists along the way!
The Middle Classes also enjoyed the ‘Skittles Experiment’ and took part in the SFI Curious Minds Science Workshop, while 5th and 6th class had great fun during science week learning all about conductors and insulators!
5th & 6th Class were also lucky to have Laura in from Junior achievement Ireland to introduce herself and introduce the energize programme. Laura is going to work with the class for the next number of weeks covering a variety of topics, where they will be learning about the Sustainable Development Goals.
All classes also enjoyed a bubble workshop where they learned how to make their own bubbles and also discovered which materials work best when trying to ‘bounce’ bubbles!
A fun filled week was had by all!
