SHNS recently celebrated Maths Week, and as you can see by the pictures below, lots of fun was had throughout the school……
Classes participated in Maths Stations, where the older classes buddied up with the younger classes to help share their Ideas. Each class also competed in a Maths Kahoot Quiz, while many classes completed fabulous hands-on 2D Shape tasks. Ms Kinsella & Ms Kelly’s Class even enjoyed some Maths Dingbats!
5th and 6th class also completed a maths trail outside where they worked in pairs to solve a variety of maths questions. There were lots of discussion about how there is maths involved in several parts of our everyday lives!
To finish off the week, the boys and girls also took part in a ‘Maths Eyes’ photograph project at home, where they had to use their Maths Eyes in their environment. Well done to the winners who each received a Snakes and Ladders set from Ms Crowe.
